Liturgy & Ministry Coordinator

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (60 min unpaid lunch)
Hours per Week: 35

SUMMARY
The Liturgy & Ministry Coordinator's responsibilities include planning, organizing, and executing liturgical celebrations, and coordinating liturgical ministers. Also helps facilitate the efficient operation of events for all parish ministries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following duties:
LITURGY:
Schedule and prepare the mass intention lists for all masses.
Coordinate and attend all liturgical meetings.
Coordinate mass and meet with priest and families to help plan the liturgy for baptisms, funerals/bereavements, weddings, quinceaneras and provide vital information and answer any questions.
Prepare Order of Worship Aids as needed.
Prepare liturgies for special liturgical events.
Prepare weekly binders for daily and weekend Masses for clergy and commentators. (Prayers of the Faithful and pulpit announcements).
Prepare the list of the deceased for All Soul’s Day.
Answer phone calls for anointing of the sick, house blessings, etc. and translate for incoming parishioners.
Coordinates with Leaders of Faith Formation and Religious Education to ensure that the liturgy
Attend staff meetings.
All other assigned duties by Pastor or Office Manager.
MINISTRY:
Serve as a liaison between the pastor and the ministries.
Coordinate/schedule meetings, and appointments with the different ministries.
Assist with administrative inquiries related to ministries.
Attend ministry meetings as needed.
Responsible for the scheduling of the Parish Life Calendar.
Coordinates the annual Ministry Fair.
Prepare all required documents for marriage and send to pastor for review.
Maintains filing systems as assigned.
Keeps accurate records and reports back to Pastor and Office Manager.
Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
In collaboration with leadership responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions
Adhering to safety training and protocols and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service of the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
Adherence to the Archdiocesan Code of Conduct and the Faith and Morals policy of the Catholic faith is mandatory.

Serves as a back-up front office duties as needed.
Attend staff meetings.
All other assigned duties by Pastor or Office Manager
Requirements
Education:
· High school Diploma or equivalent
· Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience:
· At least four (4) years’ experience of working in an administrative role providing direct support.
· Bilingual in Spanish and English.
License and Credentials:
· Reliable transportation
· Valid driver's license
· Valid vehicle insurance
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
· Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Applications. Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
· Must have good written and verbal skills.
· Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Groundskeeper (Part-Time)

Job Summary:
Prince of Peace Catholic Church is seeking a part-time groundskeeper to fulfill the mission of our parish by providing a variety of services to maintain the physical grounds such as grounds maintenance, mechanical repair, general maintenance, and custodial services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supports and adheres to the policies and procedures of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the parish.
Maintains good relationships and works cooperatively with many people, such as clergy, staff, and parish community.
Maintains confidentiality regarding parish matters.
Provides all ground maintenance services including but not limited to cutting grass, trimming trees and/or bushes, edging at sidewalks and/or other borders, weed control, and blowing of landscape debris.
Performs minor ground equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
Maintains/monitors irrigation systems including sprinkler timers.
Provides janitorial/custodial support services to staff including but not limited to internal and external buildings and grounds.
Assists with set-up and cleaning of facilities for evening and weekend activities/events as directed by the Pastor or Office Manager.
Performs other related tasks as assigned
Other Requirements

Performs a variety of office duties, such as typing, filing, answering the telephone, opening, and distributing mail, assisting office visitors and other related duties as assigned.

Musicians (part-time)

Employment Status: Part-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Schedule: As needed for Saturday and Sunday masses (special events as needed)
Less than 10 hours per week which will vary based on needs
Reports to: Pastor
The Musician/ Cantor will be responsible for performing music at various parish services, including Sunday Vigil Mass and may be contracted to perform at weddings, funerals and other liturgical events as necessary. The Musician/ Cantor will be responsible for animating the Sunday Liturgy and providing the musical environment.
Must have demonstrated experience with various instruments specifically; piano, organ and/ or guitar.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides musical support to prayerful environment
Assists Pastor and/Liturgy Coordinator in securing other instrumentalists as needed
Continuously maintains professional and liturgical education through reading, workshops, classes etc.
Is available to perform at special events including weddings, funerals and other events as needed
Additional Responsibilities
Attend all Archdiocese required training and meetings on Liturgy and Music
Attends Parish staff meetings as necessary
Actively participates in all “required” attendance Parish events as directed by Pastor and/ or Director of Music and Liturgy
Requirements
Education and Experience
High School degree or equivalent
Ability to sing with accurate pitch and rhythm
Ability to play various instruments (Piano/ Organ/ Guitar preferred)
Basic understanding of Music Theory
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
Preferred Additional
Bachelor’s degree in Music, Liturgy and/ or 2 prior years’ experience
Previous experience/ knowledge of Roman Catholic Liturgy including Lectionary and Sacramentary
Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred
